Bokor Plateau – Cambodia is a land that arouses many tourists’ curiosity because of its mystery. Let’s explore this land with Green Environment through the article below!

Bokor Plateau – The Land That Is Waking Up
Lying peacefully on the Indochina peninsula, Cambodia is the most mysterious country in the region with religious and spiritual mysteries that have not been solved to this day.
In the early 20s of the last century, the French rushed into the Indochina peninsula and discovered the Bokor Plateau, a land with a cool climate, many wild features but no less unique. They built a series of resorts here, turning Bokor into a paradise to serve the needs of tourism, entertainment and relaxation.
After that golden period, France withdrew from Cambodia, leaving behind many traces of a glorious time. Decades have passed, and the plateau has returned to its true nature as a mysterious land, along with traces of the times.

For a long time, this land had nothing but old, moss-covered structures. It was not until 1993 that Bokor National Park was established that the plateau was full of life again, with projects, constructions, eco-tourism areas, and entertainment areas springing up, attracting tourists to visit and entertain.
Coming to Bokor is coming to vast green forests, to the sound of roaring waterfalls, to breathe in the fresh, ancient air.
Tourists coming to Cambodia are coming to a country steeped in spiritual beliefs. Buddhism is considered the main religion of this country with more than 90% of the population following Buddhism. No matter where you go in Cambodia, you cannot help but be amazed by the unique architecture from temples to the large, majestic, and respectful Buddha statues.
Green Environment builds an eco-tourism area
In early 2023, Cambodia decided to start building a 108m high Buddha statue on Bokor Peak, which is considered the tallest Buddha statue in the country to date. The Buddha statue is made of concrete with a construction cost of 30 million USD. This event has opened a major turning point for religious tourism activities in Cambodia in general and the Bokor Plateau in particular. This will be a source of pride for the people of this country rich in cultural beliefs.
