Saigon Zoo, an ideal tourist destination
In 2024, Green Environment (Landscape-MTX) was honored to collaborate with Saigon Zoo to design and fully construct decorative mushroom models inside animal enclosures. These whimsical sculptures aren’t just decorative — they help enliven the zoo landscape, enrich visitor experience, and create playful environments especially for children.
Visitors come to the Zoo to visit the lovely zoo, enjoy the fresh air with many green landscapes. In addition, because of the eye-catching landscape arrangement.
Design and complete construction of decorative mushroom models at the Zoo
In 2024, Green Environment is honored to accompany the Zoo to design and construct decorative mushroom models in animal cages.
In order to create a lively landscape for the cages, it also creates entertainment models for pets.
The mushroom model is constructed by Green Environment with cement material, decorated with many bright colors. Mushroom statues with many different shapes, hopefully bring a new and interesting feeling to visitors and children!
Design & Construction Considerations
To achieve this result, several important factors must be addressed:
- Durability and Weather Resistance
Cement is great for outdoor sculptures, but to maintain color and form under rain, sun, and humidity, the finishing (paints, sealants) must be high-quality. - Safety & Animal Welfare
Since these mushroom models are placed inside animal cages or near animals, materials used must be non-toxic, surfaces safe (no sharp edges), and construction solid so pieces don’t break off and pose risks. - Visual Integration
The decorative mushrooms should complement the existing landscape and habitat design. They should not obstruct animal care or visitor pathways. Colors and shapes should harmonize with surrounding greenery and cage designs. - Variety & Scale
Multiple sizes and styles help create depth; some mushrooms might be small, others large. Variation keeps visual interest high and appeals especially to children’s sense of wonder. - Maintenance
Regular inspections, repainting, cleaning are needed to keep the models looking fresh. Cement and paint need protection from moss, algae, weathering.
