The world’s tallest reinforced concrete sitting Buddha statue using new technology designed and constructed by Green Environment

In early 2023, Cambodia started construction of a 108m high Buddha statue on the Bokor Plateau, Kampot Province. The main contractor is Sculpture and Landscape Joint Stock Company Green Environment.

The statue is designed in the style of Khmer Angkor temple. With a height of 108m, after completion, this will be a wonderful work and a source of pride for the Cambodian people. The project has been trusted by the investor and assigned to the Green Environment Sculpture and Landscape Company to carry out.

Cambodia is a country with more than 90% of the population following Buddhism, the construction of a large Buddha statue has a lot of meaning for the people here. In the future, this place will become the center of worship of the Cambodian people. At the same time, the construction of the statue also promotes tourism for the Bokor plateau, Buddhist tourists everywhere can gather here to visit, travel and worship.

On January 4, 2023, the leaders of Green Environment Company attended the opening ceremony of the project to build a 108m high Buddha statue and the architectural complex surrounding the Buddha. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and Mr. Oknha Sok Kong, Chairman of Sokha Hotel – the project investor.

Mr. Oknha Sok Kong, Chairman of Sokha Hotel, announced that the construction of the statue on Bokor Mountain will be started, which will become one of the tallest statues in the world.
